The ArborAWARDS™ program is an initiative created to celebrate and honor exceptional achievements within the tree care industry. This program provides an opportunity for individuals, institutions, and companies to be recognized for their contributions and commitment to excellence, safety, and environmental stewardship.
In an industry where hazards are ever-present, it’s crucial to highlight and reward the individuals and organizations who not only meet, but exceed industry standards while ensuring the safety of employees and their customers. By recognizing and showcasing these accomplishments, this program not only acknowledges these collective efforts but also serves as a platform to inspire others and promote best practices across the industry.
Note: All proceeds, after covering program costs, will be allocated to supporting future generations of arborists. These funds will be directed to cover student expenses for attending ArborEXPO™. Edge Ahead Associates does not receive any financial benefit from this initiative.
Here’s a breakdown of the program:
Company Categories:
1. Big Tree: Recognizes companies for measurable year-over-year growth, experience modification rating (EMR), and overall Google review rating.
2. Service Tree: Acknowledges organizations for their community involvement, measured by the number of hours and financial commitment dedicated to community causes.
3. Safety Tree: Honors organizations for their contributions to employee safety, measured by investments in safety, EMR, safety incentive investments, and hours dedicated to training.
Individual Recognition Categories:
1. Robert Bartlett Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry over their careers.
2. Safety Innovation: Awards individuals who innovate techniques that improve Arborist safety.
3. Equipment Innovation: Acknowledges individuals for developing tools that enhance industry safety, quality, and productivity.
Complex or Challenging Project Award:
· Participants can submit video entries documenting interesting jobs, which will be showcased during the awards presentation events and ceremony. Each person or company is allowed to submit only one “Complex or Challenging Project Award” entry.
Rules:
- Each person/company can submit up to two entries per major category.
- Submissions must not include company logos or individual names.
- Companies and individuals can win multiple categories.
- Judges comprise representatives from education, safety, manufacturing, and company owners, including two independent outside experts.
- Recipients are chosen by a panel of industry experts who review and vote on blind award submissions.
- Entry fees: $300.00 per company entry, $100.00 per individual entry. There’s no fee for the “Lifetime Achievement Award” and “Complex or Challenging Project Award” category.

Applications must be submitted by February 14th, 2025.
